Dr. Fischer grew up in
Maryland
and moved to
Florida to attend
EckerdCollege—a
small private college where she received a BS in Biology.She ended up staying in
Florida for a few years, working as a
veterinary technician while awaiting entrance to veterinary school.She graduated from the
University
of
Florida,
College of
Veterinary
Medicine in 2008.While in vet school, Dr. Fischer was able to perform research involving
feral cats and vaccinations, working closely with the largest feral cat spay/neuter
operation in the country, and has had that research published in the Journal of
the American Veterinary Medical Association.She loves working with all cats and dogs, but she has a special spot in
her heart for those grumpy cats who really hate coming to see her!She adds a bit of ‘southern charm’ to all she
does.
