Heidi Van Flatern, Hospital Manager

Heidi has a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Management and has 25 years of management experience.  She enjoys working with people and animals, and has a life long love of learning new things.  She presently has one cat at home.

Technician Team

Caryn Haley

Caryn is our lead technician.  She has been here since 2001.  She spends her time both up front in appointments as well as in back in surgery.  She has a soft spot for pit bulls and has two of her own; Jada and Olympus.

Jaime De Leon Chavarria

Jaime has been with us since 2006.  He spends most of his time working as the surgery technician.  He enjoys animal dentistry and helps to keep  pets' teeth clean and healthy.  He owns a cocker spaniel named Nakita and a weimaraner named Way.

Jennifer Milavsky

Jen has worked with us since 2007.  She works up front in appointments and loves dealing with our patients and their owners.  At home she enjoys spending time with her horses, cats, dogs and fish.

 Karen Decker

Karen has been working with us since 2008.  She takes care of our hospitalized patients and enjoys making them feel as comfortable as possible while away from home.  Her two best friends are her Aussie, Iris and dachshund mix Izzy.

Theresa Fletcher

Theresa has worked at East Brook since 1999.  she enjoys working in all areas of the hospital.  At home Theresa has a variety of pets including dogs, cats, a rabbit and fish; but dalmatians happen to be her favorite.












Vanessa Cruz

Vanessa works mainly up front in appointments, but you can also find her looking at something under the microscope in our lab. She has worked at East Brook since 2008.  At home she has two cats and a pit bull mix named Sophie.












Receptionist Team

Claire (back row, left) has been quietly working here since 2004, and currently orders our prescription diets.  She, her husband and young son share their home with enough cats and dogs to fill one sofa.  She enjoys learning and nature.

Carly (back row, center) began working here in 2008.  Her friendliness and concern for our clients' pets bring a welcome feel to our clinic.  Garcia, her cat visits us at our hospital often.

Mariah (back row, right) is the newest member of our receptionist team.  She likes doing decoupage in her free time.  She has a great youthful sense of humor. Her cat Mandy enjoys visiting the reception area.

Blanca (front row, left) has been bringing smiles to our clients' faces since 1994.  She enjoys sharing stories about her many rescued cats, her dogs and ferrets.  She likes to read, dance, drink wine and has a fondness for muscle cars.

Gail (front row, right) brings her book keeping talents to the receptionist team and enjoys solving a good accounting mystery.  Her infectious laugh can often be heard throughout the hospital.

Linda (missing from photo) joined our team in 2009 after being a long-time client.  She keeps our staff supplied with yummy treats and then relaxes at home with her cats.

Jan (missing from photo) has been cheerfully working with us since 2004.  After evenings socializing or attending sports events, she comes home to her four cats.
